Düsseldorf, 04 August 2023 - Alstom, a leading manufacturer of rail vehicles and systems, and RAILPOOL, one of Europe's leading leasing companies for rail vehicles, have signed a contract for 50 Traxx 3 MS multi-system locomotives. The order is worth up to 260 million euros and contributes to the expansion of RAILPOOL's presence in Europe and in particular in France.
The Traxx universal locomotives, which are suitable for both freight and passenger train services, will be used in eight countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and Poland.
The TIGGES Rail competence team provided RAILPOOL with comprehensive advice on this project. With regard to the purpose of the project, particular attention was paid to interoperability and the guarantee of long-term operational capability in a constantly changing technical environment.
