Dr. Kaya Köklü is a lawyer and certified specialist lawyer for intellectual property rights.
He specializes in commercial law mandates, primarily in the areas of intellectual property and competition law. His clients are primarily large and medium-sized companies from Germany and abroad, which are particularly active in the digital media, automotive, consumer products and health care sectors.
In addition to advising on all questions of intellectual property and competition law, Dr. Kaya Köklü‘s main areas of practice include drafting contracts (including licenses) and asserting claims in court. He has extensive experience in the nationwide enforcement of claims in preliminary injunction proceedings, including trade fair disputes.

Dr. Kaya Köklü has lectured at many national and international conferences and published numerous articles in professional journals as well as a monograph on Turkish patent law.
Since 2010, Dr. Köklü has also been regularly appointed as arbitrator for international domain disputes at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva.
Dr. Kaya Köklü has been a lawyer at TIGGES since June 2018. Prior to that, he worked for several international law firms as well as in his own law firm. He also spent several years as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich.
He was admitted to the bar in 2006 and in 2009 he was awarded the title of Certified Specialist Lawyer for Intellectual Property.
