In the field of employment law, he has particular experience in the professional sports sector, especially in drafting contracts in professional football and e-sports.

    Before studying law, Leonhard Aretz completed both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration. As part of his business studies, he spent time abroad in two English-speaking countries: in San Diego, USA, and in Australia. He then studied law at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.

    After his studies and during his legal traineeship, Leonhard Aretz worked for two and a half years at the international law firm CMS Hasche Sigle, where he was employed as a research assistant and completed his legal traineeship (Anwaltsstation) in the areas of corporate and insolvency law.

    He completed his legal traineeship in the Higher Regional Court district of Düsseldorf (Regional Court Duisburg), including his elective placement (Wahlstation) at a professional football club in the German Bundesliga.
