Area of Specialisation

Klaus-Peter Langenkamp, attorney-at-law, is a certified specialist for international commercial law as well as a certified specialist for transport and freight forwarding law. He is a senior partner at the law firm and has worked in international legal transactions since the beginning of his attorney career. Mr Langenkamp mainly advises domestic and foreign companies on transport and logistics law, general commercial and contract law as well as customs law.

His practice focuses on providing comprehensive advice on all aspects of rail transport. Together with a well-established team, he has been advising well-known, globally operating companies for more than 20 years on all relevant legal issues, including contract drafting, damages, personnel leasing, vehicle procurement and leasing, financing, M&A, regulation and procurement, antitrust law and authorisations.

A further area of his practice is German-Polish legal relations; as a member of the Polish Desk Team, he has many years of experience in advising on transactions, investments and commercial transactions relating to the Republic of Poland.

  • Other Fields of Activity

    For years Mr Langenkamp has given regular seminars on the subjects of purchasing, trade, logistics and railway, for example at the BME Akademie. 

    Klaus-Peter Langenkamp has been an Incoterms® 2020 Trainer accredited by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) since October 2020.

    Mr Langenkamp is a member of Außenhandelsverband NRW, Deutschen Gesellschaft für Transportrecht, as well as Förderverein Forschungsstelle für deutsches und internationales Eisenbahnrecht. He is also a lecturer in commercial law and international law in the subject field of logistics management at the European Technical College in Brühl, as well as a lecturer at the Hagen Law School for the area of customs law. For some years, Mr Langenkamp has been an arbitrator at the Commercial Arbitration Court in Poznań (Gospodarczy Sąd Arbitrażowy w Poznaniu).

    Mr Langenkamp has worked at TIGGES Rechtsanwälte since 2003. Previously he worked for three years for a German-Polish commercial law firm, and headed its branch office in Poznań from 2001 until 2003. He studied in Bielefeld and Strasbourg. His legal traineeship placements led him inter alia to New York and Brussels.
