Friedwart A. Becker is Of Counsel at TIGGES. He advises individuals and medium-sized companies on questions of corporate, inheritance and tax law. The main focus of his activities is on company acquisitions, investments and succession planning. In doing so, he takes into account all legal and fiscal structuring options as well as the enforcement or defence of inheritance law claims in inheritance disputes. His many years of experience in the out-of-court settlement of conflicts is of great benefit to him in this respect. Friedwart A. Becker is a trained business mediator and works both in Germany and in France. He is also a member of the Association of Construction Mediators.

Friedwart A. Becker works as a lecturer in inheritance law and mediation and publishes articles in these areas. He is a member of the working groups for tax law, international legal relations, mediation and inheritance law in the German Bar Association, the German Society for Inheritance Law and Asset Succession, the German-French Lawyers‘ Association, the Central Mediation Office and the German-French Mediation Centre based in Paris and Hamburg, as well as the Association of Catholic Lawyers.

Friedwart A. Becker studied law at the universities of Freiburg/Breisgau, Lausanne/Switzerland and Bonn. In 1974 he settled as a lawyer and became a partner in the law firm Becker, Tombrock. From 1979 to 1989 he also worked as a notary public. Afterwards he worked as a lawyer in a supra-local commercial law firm with offices in Düsseldorf, Chemnitz and Dresden. Since 2007 he has been a partner in the law firm TIGGES Rechtsanwälte.
