Jan V. Sabin, LL.M. is a lawyer at the law firm advising in the area of foundation law, inheritance law and corporate law. He also specialises in the area of the law of foundations, which includes inter alia advice on establishing foundations and questions of charitable status tax law. Jan V. Sabin studied law in Marburg and Bochum. After his first state legal examination, he did a postgraduate course in commercial and tax law (Master of Laws, LL.M.) In the framework of his legal traineeship, he worked inter alia for three months in the legal department of an American company in Philadelphia, USA. After passing his second state legal examination, he began as a trainee at a private bank in Essen, and there initiated the establishment of a family office in addition to rendering advice on foundation and asset succession subjects. Jan V. Sabin has been admitted to practise law as an attorney since 2008, and advises clients on the abovementioned areas of specialisation. In 2011, he successfully completed the theoretical section for the acquisition of the title of "Fachanwalt im Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht", which in English translates as "Special Counsel for Commercial Law and Corporate Law". He has worked for TIGGES Rechtsanwälte since 2012.
