Attorney Dr. Dominik Wagner, LL.M. is a senior partner at TIGGES and specializes in core issues of international business law. With over 15 years of professional experience, he assists German, Polish and international companies in addressing complex legal issues related to company formations, foreign expansion, cross-border trade activities and transactions in the corporate and real estate sectors (M&A).

As a certified specialist in commercial and corporate law, as well as international business law, Dr. Wagner has a profound understanding of contract, trade, corporate, and real estate law. His comprehensive expertise in these areas makes him a sought-after advisor for corporate clients from both domestic and international markets.

A particular focus of his work is on German-Polish business relations. As a native speaker of both German and Polish, he advises medium-sized and large companies on both sides of the Oder River in cross-border trade activities and investments in the respective neighboring country.

    Dr. Wagner has been the President of the International Business Law Commission of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA) for several years. He has also served as the President of the International Commercial Law Alliance (ICLA). Furthermore, he is the Chairman of the conciliation court at the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce (AHK Poland) in Warsaw, and Chairman of the Commission for SMEs and Family Enterprises at the Regional Chamber of Commerce RIG in Katowice. Additionally, he is an Approved Compliance Officer, providing support in the development and implementation of compliance elements and entire compliance management systems. Finally, he is Chairman of the „Friends of the Polish Institute in Düsseldorf e.V."

    After studying law at the Ruhr-University Bochum and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Dr. Wagner completed several stages of his legal clerkship in Warsaw, including at the German-Polish Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Before joining TIGGES, he worked for several years at an internationally-oriented law firm in Düsseldorf and Warsaw, specializing in corporate, insolvency and commercial law, as well as German-Polish business relations. In 2011, he earned a doctoral degree in Polish foundation law and completed a postgraduate degree in Polish and international business law (Master of Laws, LL.M.) at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in 2009. Dr. Wagner was awarded the title of certified specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law, as well as international business law in 2014 and 2015. He is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration degree at Kozminski University in Warsaw.
